Below-average winter crops condition in China during mid-December, 2017

Winter wheat was at tillering to wintering period. Crop condition was overall favorable in most parts of winter wheat planted areas, other than the southern Huanghuaihai (China) (i.e., northern Anhui and southern Henan), where crop condition was below average, which was due to the delay of winter wheat sowing and the water deficit since late November.

Rapeseed was at stem elongation stage. In general, crop condition was below average. Affected by rainy weather and concurrently low radiation, poor crop condition occurred in some parts of eastern Sichuan and Guizhou.
