The November CropWatch Bulletin is based primarily on current remote sensing data in addition to comprehensive and spatially accurate reference data about crops and their management. The scope is global and comprehensive. Focusing on July to October 2018, chapters cover global, national, and regional agroclimatic conditions and the condition of crops that were growing or harvested during this time. The scope is global and comprehensive. 11 countries were added to improve the focus on Africa and Asia. Focusing on the months of January to April 2018, chapters cover global, national, and regional-level agroclimatic conditions and the condition of crops that were growing or harvested during this time. Pests and diseases for winter wheat in north hemisphere was newly included. For China, the bulletin presents China crop production, crop conditions for each of seven key agro-ecological zones, regional impacts of pests and diseases as well as trade prospects (import/export) of major crops. The bulletin also describes current crop condition and prospects in China and presents a first global production estimate for crops to be harvested throughout 2017.

February 2017 CropWatch bulletin (Vol. 17, No. 1)

February 2017 CropWatch bulletin. The period from October 2016 to January 2017 is a relatively quiet period from an agricultural point of view. Nonetheless, this CropWatch bulletin presents updates on estimated 2016 wheat production in Argentina, Australia and Brazil. It also reports on recent disaster events, agriculture in East and Southeast Asia, and naturally on the condition of crops and other agroclimatic and agronomic indicators for China, globally important producers and exporters, and key regions important for agriculture.

November 2016 CropWatch bulletin (Vol. 16, No. 4)

November 2016 CropWatch bulletin released. The November 2016 CropWatch bulletin presents the latest CropWatch production estimates for 2016, in addition to the usual updates on prevailing weather conditions, resulting crop condition, and size of cultivated areas, among others, focusing on crop growth from July until the end of October. The bulletin naturally includes detailed analyses for China as well as thirty major agricultural countries; for China, regional conditions and an update on pests and diseases, prices, and prospects for import and export are presented.
